| Aimed to apply the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in a dairy farm with small-scale production, located in the south of Minas Gerais. The survey was conducted from January to December 2013 and the gathering of information was carried out through semi-structured interviews on the spot. As data collection instruments were used personal interviews, document analysis and direct and participant observation. The farm has 216 ha, 80% of the leased area. The activities are dairy farming, corresponding to 80% of revenues, and the cultivation of coffee. The breeding farm is 22 predominantly Holstein cows (¾ H) that are loose in the pasture. | The Simplified Evalution Guide - Rural GAS is a tool used to evaluate farmer organizations. Lately, it has been used by farmers to evaluate their organizations. The tool was development based on the experience of the Program Gaucho of Quality and Productivity (PGQP). In the evaluation, seven criteria and items are used. They are necessary to help the administration to reach the objectives and consequently the sucess. | This study was carried out in a bus transportation company named "Ticket Center" in Delicias,Chihuahua, which offers services such as, sale of tickets to different destinations through the United States, consultancy for the laser visa process, transportation to the American consulate in Ciudad Juarez. | Em 1980 o Brasil atingiu a safra de 296 milhoes de toneladas de produtos alimenticios (graos, tuberculos e carnes). A exportacao agricola atingiu a cifra de US$ 7,7 bilhoes, correspondendo a 33% do total dos negocios efetuados. Em 1981, a producao de alcool foi de 4,2 bilhoes de litros, aliviando em muito a dependencia de importacao do petroleo.
